Agenda of meeting on Wed 3rd Feb 2010

Topic – project outline

Stockmarket simulation

This product could be a game, an educational tool, or a mixture of both. The educational benefit could be increased by more accurate modelling of the dependence of the stock market on national or international events. For example, locating new oil fields could significantly influence share prices across the energy sector, as could an invasion or a Middle Eastern oil rich country.

As a game it is expected the user would be able to buy and track shares and futures. Trading could also include currency trading. Potentially players could be allowed, at certain stages or levels, to make decisions which could influence the direction of the market itself.

The simulation could be made multi-player across multi-terminal but this isn’t a primary expectation.
